CINDERELLA'S THEATRE PERFORMANCE (1st, 2nd, 3rd grades)

Last Wednesday, the 5th of February, some English native speakers came to the school to act out CINDERELLA's theatre performance.

The story of Cinderella is about a girl who lives with her two sisters: Annabella and Barbarella. They are very lazy and they make Cinderella clean the house. She is very pretty and her sisters are ugly.

One day 3 invitations arrive. They are from the Prince's palace party. Barbarella is very jealous and tears up Cinderella's invitation.

Cinderella has a Fairy Godmother and gives her 3 wishes:
- 1st: a new invitation
- 2nd: some transport (a car)
- 3rd: a party dress

Cinderella goes to the party and dances with the Prince. At 12 o'clock she leaves, but she drops her shoe.

The next day, the Prince visits all the houses with the shoe. He wants to find the mysterious princess. When Cinderella tries on the shoe, it fits her perfectly.

Cinderella and the Prince live happily ever after.

SAINT VALENTINE'S DAY

The 3th and 4th graders of the school made a Saint Valentine's Card in which they wrote a very common poem:

Roses are red,
violets are blue
Sugar is sweet
and so are you...

The 5th and 6th graders wrote a poem for the Saint Valentine's Card. But in this case, they made it up. Let's have a look at them. They are really nice!

Peace Day!

PEACE PLEASE, NOT WAR!!
Give peace a chance!

What a Wonderful World

“I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shakin' hands, sayin' "How do you do?"
They're really saying "I love you"

I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful world

Oh yeah!”

Louis Armstrong

Merry Christmas!!

“Silent night, holly night,

come and see, you and me,

look at the photo of my family,

mum, dad, grandad and granny,

brothers, sisters and me,

we are a family!”

Christmas cards, carols, Father Christmas, Christmas tree, stocking, candle, angels, bells, star, Advent Calendar, candy canes, Christmas pudding, snowman, bow, chimeney, presents, turkey, sleigh...

“Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,

it’s raining, it’s snowing, it’s cold, yes it is!”

Happy Halloween!!

We celebrate Halloween on the 31st of October. This festival is very popular in English speaking countries, such as the United Kingdom, the USA, Australia, etc. The most well-known symbol is the Pumpkin. At night people go out in fancy dresses like monsters, skeletons, witches, ghosts, vampires, etc and they play "Trick or Treat", and sing songs like the following one:

"Girls and boys go out to play,
the moon is bright on Halloween night,

take your candle, take your mask,
the moon is bright on Halloween night!!

Look for witches, look for ghosts,
the moon is bright on Halloween night,
Abracadabra, wizzy woo,
I want to play with you!!"
